«Out to town» is now carried out by more than twenty push-and-go young people, who are anxious to make world better. The original idea once made up by 6 authors of the project has significantly upgraded since 2007 when «Out to town» was launched. The project coverage has extended to CIS, Europe and further eastwards: we started going Out to Kyiv, Minsk, Odessa, Kaliningrad, Kazan.
We’re arranging trips far more often now and usually have not less than 30 «outgoers» in each. We’ve put the project on a more solid footing, having registered a LLC. We began working with schools, universities and trade unions. We’re getting more children, students and adults willing to travel with us.
We’ve arranged special events in Moscow (Monopoly: 14 June 2009, Mafia: 15 August 2009) to let our «outgoers» meet all together, as they began missing each other a lot. Eventually we’ve opened an office and started working on the project full-time. But the general concept of interactive, curious and affordable trips around Russia is still in force.
